We have always needed to provide a credit card number and that is charged for the FCC even if we did have on board credit so I would say no unless Princess has changed it recently.

Correct. Must be paid separately. FCCs are not charged to your on board account.

For every Future Cruise Deposit we have purchased, the credit card we have registered to cover our onboard account has been charged in a separate transaction and not put on the onboard account.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is correct. Although you may have the option of providing a different CC if preferred.

 

This may facilitate refunds for FCD's that expire, though many have reported receiving a paper check by mail for their refund.
