First Back to Back

Hi!

We are excited to be taking our first back to back next year -- on the Navigator.

I read a lot on here about back to back cruisers being the last one off and first ones escorted right back on. However, we want to spend the day off the ship in Miami and this is not discussed as much.

I am hopeful we can get off whenever we would like. Will we have to wait in the normal line to disembark into the terminal and get through customs/immigration?

Thanks!

Brad

Typically you will meet as a group with other B2B'rs in the morning of the last day of the first week and will be led off the ship as a group and taken directly through customs to then re-board. This is done ahead of any new boarding passengers and is very quick and easy. You can then disembark and re-board anytime you want as long as you are re-boarded 90 minutes prior to departure as with the other new passengers and then will do another muster.

You can get off the ship any time after disembarkation has started, as early as the self-assist folks if you like.

Make sure you tell Guest Services you will not be getting off with the regular B2B group. This way they will know to give you your new SeaPass cards either the night before or very early on disembarkation day.

Thanks all for the info.

Does the in-transit card allow us to bypass any lines getting off?

Do we go through the full customs/immigration process?

Thanks!

Brad

The in transit card is only for getting back on the ship and avoiding check-in lines.

If you don't get off with the B2B guests, you will go through the same customs procedure as all other departing guests.

My wife and I are doing our first B2B this upcoming summer in Alaska. We are currently booked on a RC excursion on the last day for the 1st leg, which RC states that it's designed for those passengers going B2B. This is the first time I've heard of an "intransit card" (but one could argue that since this is our first B2B that everything is new to me...haha!). Would RC be providing the "intransit" cards for our excursions, or do we need to go the travel desk while on board prior in the week?

You won't likely need in-transit cards because your return from the excursion will be long after general boarding has begun and there won't be any lines you have to bypass. However, if you do need an in-transit card, it will be provided as part of your excursion meeting.
