We are on the Jewel in 5 weeks and was looking for feedback on the Jewel, the shows, casino and any and everything on the ship. I have not seen a lot about the jewel on here other than one person who posted about her trip. Would love to from many others. Thank you advance for the help.

I am heading back to The Jewel at the end of April for my 3rd cruise on Her in 15 months.

The staff is outstanding, especially the Hotel Director Steven Jacobsen and Restaurant Manager Noel Chaves.

I enjoy most of the shows. On the first night of the cruise they do a Welcome Aboard show that will give you a taste of the entertainment for the rest of the week. Toward the end of the cruise, there will be a Farewell Show. At the end of it, a number of the waitstaff, bar staff, housekeepers, middle management staff, Senior Hotel Management staff and the Bridge staff come on stage to be recognized department by department and then they are at the back of the theatre as you leave.

The Jewel has an outdoor dining space at the rear of the ship on Deck 12. Great place to take pictures. At the front of the ship on Deck 11 is an area where you can see into the Bridge of the ship. On Deck 13 at the front of the ship is the Spinnaker Lounge- lots of windows and places to sit. It used used for many activities- bingos, dances, game shows etc.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise. I can not wait to board on the 23rd of April.

I'll be on the jewel for the fourth time in May :-)

We love the jewel. The staff is always friendly and helpful.we find it is the perfect size and crowd amount.

Is there something you specifically want to know?

Actually, a somewhat silly question, but is there a pool table in O'Sheehans? I loved the feel of the Irish Pub at sea on the Breakaway.

No. It's in the upper area of the atrium so no room for a pool table. That would be really cool though!!

Karaoke rooms are in the Fizz Lounge and only available at night. You need to make a reservation. No pool tables onboard. I just came off on March 19th , so ask away. I will write a review in a few days.

I've never seen a karaoke room! Did you do it? I can picture the 3 of us in there singing to each other.... seems sort of odd? Do you make a recording or something? Thanks for any insight! Too bad about the pool table. O'Sheehan's on the Breakaway had one and it was always busy, but I'm assuming it's a space issue.

Yes, we did the Karaoke room. It can fit about six people. They give you quick instructions and there is a play list. I'm not aware of any recording option. My daughter (35yrs old) thought the list was dated. Still, we had fun.

Thanks for your response! We'll have to try it out :)
