DebbieMacG--What I have is Majestic Princess Itinerary for March-September 2017. Looks like it's for the crew usage. It gives Mailing Address of Barcelona, Civitavecchia and Piraeus. To contact the Ship by direct-dail. And at the lower left it saids "Please Check the gang-way notice boards for CREW all aboard times". This was posted a few days ago.

Debbie ... Anyone thinking of sailing on Majestic had better get a move on seeing as it leaves Civitavecchia in August for China ... :D

Dides is onboard this week as well along with around 40+ of us who are due to attend the meet and greet set up by RumbaLiz.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this real-time review. Many of us are following the thread and hope you will continue updating us. If anyone decides to take the hop on bus in Kotor next week, I'd sure like to hear about their experience. Enjoy your cruise this week!

It's 7am and changeover day in Rome. As B2B in transit passengers we get to stay on the ship - our new cabin is the one next door so can just leave our luggage for the steward to move over.

We have really enjoyed the preview cruise, trying new things, being the first to sleep on new mattresses and use plump (for now) towels. This was my first 'live from' and hoped it helped all those that travel on Majestic in the next few weeks.

Our final thoughts (post preview)

Hits

Hollywood Conservatory is a great space. So beautiful and relaxing, It rained yesterday and Chris thought the rain coming down the windows was a special effect!

Hollywood Pool. Heated indoor pool away from the elements.

Harmony Restaurant - lovely food and ambience. Hope to try the full menu next.

Noodle Bar - freshly made, tasty and complimentary.

Juice bar - loved the smoothies

Leaves bar - bubble tea good if you like it.

Karaoke suites - great tech once you can book it.

Misses

Bathrooms are smaller in balcony cabins - too squidgy in front of the basins

Lack of Daytime space to chill - no comfy aft chairs

Nightclub limited - pop-up only and again no comfy chairs

Reduced number and size of bars - but then it's tailored for a different market.

World Fresh Marketplace - reduced options compared to Royal and Regal. No baked beans or croissants at breakfast on our visits. No flags as in the promo video.

Lobster Grill - made to Chinese tastes and you need to pay.

Ice cream - tasted different, no gelato.

Shopping - too upscale and tailored to Chinese tastes.

Reassuringly the same.

Main dining room. Quality and service good.

Alfredos. Excellent.

International Cafe. Usual fare

Piazza - always something going on,

We hope to relax more on the maiden and that others will take up the live from reins. Happy travels everyone!

Sandra and Chris

As per Majestic Princess Itinerary, once it reaches Shanghai on July 9, it starts their Asian 4 to 5 days cruises to four different ports, like Hakata (Fukuoka), Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Japan and Juje (So. Korean island). This itinerary runs to the end of September 2017.

May not be on the itinerary anymore.

China is upset with South Korea and has pressured China based cruise ships not to go there.

Are the towels any softer than the ones on the Royal and Regal?

Some final pictures now we are using a wi-fi dongle and not the ship's internet (patchy as usual):

Just attempted to book a Karaoke suite while the ship was less busy through the lady who looks after the suites. Informed it was $12 per person per hour but you have to pay a minimum of $50 so better to book for at least 4 people to make it worthwhile. It includes some drinks and nibbles and since we already have the beverage package we didn't book this time.

Hi Kerri, in a standard balcony cabin there is a us outlet on each side of the dressing table so one of them should be in easy reach of one side of the bed.

Yes, Smart casual for non-formal nights at dinner. Others can advise better but you can usually wear smart casual on a formal night if you don't eat in the main dining room but choose to go to a speciality restaurant, alfredos, buffet.

Thanks so much! 1 less thing to pack:-)

Kerri

Harmony is beautiful!!!

And, yes, what a waste of beautiful aft space! :(

I don't understand why that equipment isn't spread throughout the walking track as it is on the Royal and Regal.

I hope they re-think that on the next ship!!!

Was chatting with another couple this morning and neither of us have found the walking track - not sure there is one!

The self-service launderettes are not operating yet - the coin inserters are still sitting on a shelf. The irons are working fine. PSD told me they should be ready for the maiden but we are fast running out of clean clothes!

Isn't the walking track on deck 18 on the Regal? If it's at the same place, it should be above those excercise equipments on the Majestic.

I just sent Chris up there with the iPad lol. There is no laid out walking track on deck 18 - you can walk around it but you will be impeded by various sports equipment.

Just above the exercise equipment:

Oh man, we loved this area on the Royal. It was generally uncrowded, protected from the wind and great views. Didn't you say there was a smoking area on 17 aft? Surely it's not here by the exercise area? Such a waste of beautiful space up there with this configuration.
