izzywalker Posted April 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2017 visiting Norwegian Fjordes soon Not sure how much currency to change up. Fellow cruisers can you help? How much is a coffee and a cake/light lunch there?
Pudgesmom Posted April 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2017 You won't need to exchange any unless you want to. Norway is transistioning to a cashless economy. You can use credit or debit card for even the smallest purchase.
Barrheadlass Posted April 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Expect to pay a lot for your meal, too...prices are high there. I'm going to Norway for the third time next month...it is beautiful!
jocap Posted April 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2017 We just take euros...or use a card. It's very expensive on shore for most things... I think a beer at Flam was about £10.
MCC retired Posted April 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2017 We did a Norway Fjords cruise last summer and never used cash . Just a Masted Card for every purchase . Food is outrageously expensive . Norwegians are heavily taxed and you will be also. Norway was Just noted as the Happiest Country . Sent from my iPad using Forums
