Canukcruisenewbie Posted April 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Hi. I'm trying to find out which night of the two formal nights is the most formal. Are they about the same? Or do people get more dressed up on the first one? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Ourusualbeach Posted April 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2017 I've always found the first formal night to be the most formal.
bethco Posted April 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2017 The first one is the Captain's Reception. If you want to be dressier on one of them, go with the first one.

Rare ggo85 Posted April 16, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2017 The first, though the dress "code"/suggestion is the same. I think it's due to: (1) the Captain's welcome reception is that night and folks want to look good; (2) they only bring one formal outfit and want to wear it the first time; and (3) there's more momentum, excitement about dressing up the first time. But you can obviously dress to the nines both nights, if you like. :)
