Carnival Staggered Check In

Does Carnival check you in by the time on your printed boarding pass? Or is your check in time reflected in their system?

This topic has been discussed in several threads on the Carnival page. However, to answer your question, once you've selected your check-in time, that information will be printed on your boarding pass. Unless you have some sort of priority status, such as Platinum. Diamond or FTTF, you will not be allowed to check in at the terminal before your check-in time. If you have some sort of priority status, you will be allowed to check in at any time once the terminal opens for check in. The information may or may not be in their system, but since it is printed on your boarding pass, it's much quicker for the agent to read that than to look it up on a computer.

Thank you! And sorry, I'm new to this... For instance, we printed our boarding passes with 12:30pm boarding time. But since then, an 11:30am time slot opened up and that is reflected as our check in time online but not on our boarding pass. Let's say we don't have time to print the new ones, what would you do? Asking for a friend...

Unless your cruise starts today, you have time to print out new boarding passes. First, go to the "Manage My Cruise" page, select the check-in time, then print out new boarding passes. Make sure the selected check-in time is on the boarding pass before you click on the "print" button.

Hi there

Welcome to cruise critic.

As beachbum suggested if you look on the Boards home page you will see links for each cruise line. If you are trying to find information specific to Carnival ask on the Carnival boards, you will get more responses. You will also find that each page has a search function which can aid in searches.

You probably understand but just in case someone reading might not, you are selecting a check in time not a boarding time. You cannot board the ship until it is ready for boarding. If boarding has not started after your check in is completed, you would have to wait your turn. They would allow people on in groups starting with the priority groups and them the others in turn.

hope this helps

Does this question have anything to do with the use of a Carnival Beverage Package prior to boarding? ;)

No. If you have questions about Carnival's beverage package, whether it's Cheers or Bottomless Bubbles, use the "Search" function on here to do some research on these topics.
