Jade -North Sea Conditions September ??

Recommended Posts

It`s actually September 3rd out of Southampton. We have a great roll call if you want to drop by.

As to weather...who knows? I`ve spoken to a few Brits in our group and from previous cruzs. The averages are upper 70s F daytime and upper 50s F at night. Oslo is the real wildcard-Could be warm and upper 70s or............Love this iten! Should be fun!

Being from Scotland the North Sea is always cold. It can be flat calm one day and very rough the next and that doesn't depend on the time of year! Saying that we went on a September Baltic cruise taking in Copenhagen and Hamburg etc and we had glorious weather. Flat seas and warm temperatures. We were in our swimwear sunbathing but we are from Scotland as I said. The folks from Florida were wearing fleeces and the pool guy was handing out blankets much to our amusement Temperatures were low 20s but cooler early morning and after dinner.

The complete part of northern Europe(Baltic sea,Scandinavia) up to the british isles are totally unpredictable regarding weather.

It can be really cold, windy and rough in June and July,it can be warm and sunny in October, but it can also be the other way around.

It can change dramatically from day to day.

So,to be honest, you can only hope the best. ;)

Point of clarification before anyone freaks out, those temperatures a Celsius, not Fahrenheit as we use in the US, so approximately 68 - 70.

We lived for 3 years in Great Yarmouth and could get gales at any time of the year. If the wind was coming from northern Continental Europe not only were there gales but very cold rainy weather; and snow in winter proper. Scouts motto!!
