Name change

Hi I searched for an answer but couldn't find one. My divorce will be final June 8th and I am taking my maiden name back. I booked early saver for my cruise in December. Will I be charged a fee by Carnival for this? And also, do I call them to change my name or is there somewhere online that I can do this? Thank you.

the early saver terms and condition (fine print) says this:

Cruise rates are in US dollars, per person, based on double occupancy, capacity controlled and subject to change at any time without prior notice. Government taxes and fees are additional for all guests. A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking for all guests to secure confirmed accommodations. Fares are backed by a unique price protection policy. Full names are required for each guest. Offer is valid for new bookings only and is not combinable with any other discounted or promotional offer. Available on sailings 3 months prior to sail date for short cruises (5 days or less) and available on sailings 5 months prior to sail date for long cruises (6 days or longer). Savings are based on Fun Select rates and vary by sailings. Category restrictions and exclusions apply. No name changes are allowed. A $50 service fee will be assessed per person for ship and/or sail date changes made prior to the final payment due date. Cancellation penalties apply. Please refer to the cruise ticket contract for additional terms and conditions. Ships' Registry: The Bahamas & Panama.

You can either change it yourself online or call. Since it is a change in YOUR name, there will be no charge. Keep in mind that if your Passport has your married name, you might just want to leave it as is as all your documentation will have to match.

I wouldn't give Carnival a penny.

Bring your divorce papers with you.

It will have both your maiden name and married name.

No different than a newlywed going on her cruise.

You should be fine.

I was also going to make this suggestion unless the OP has some genuine/urgent need to revert to her maiden name prior to her cruise in December.

There is a difference between changing a name because it's a different passenger vs same person just getting divorced. I would call Carnival and tell them what is going on. I am 99% sure they will work with you especially since you can provide proof. You might need to send them the decree.

Try going into your booking, and next to Complete guests names there is (edit). Click there, and it brings up the info for you and others in your party. Below each name is a small blue 'modify'. Click there and you can change your last name. Every time I book, it is my sister and myself, and it doesn't give an option for the second name. It just lists her as TBAxxxx. So I go in and change her first name, save change, then go back and change last name. You can't do both at the same time. EM

I had this same issue a few weeks ago and it would not let me edit the TBA name. I had to call them and get it updated. They told me you couldn't update this on the website.

I couldn't do it the first time and had to call, but I was trying to change both first and last at the same time. Next booking I changed the TBA to my sister's first name, saved the change, and then went back in and changed the last name. EM
