Leaving for cruise

Flying into Ft. Lauderdale but leaving for cruise in Miami. Where should we stay overnight at that's safe and hotel choice?

We stay in FLL at one of the several hotels around the 17st area. Then shuttle down to the POM next morning. Last time we stayed at 17th St Extended Stay. They have a free airport shuttle also.

Also, you should include if you need transfer from FTL or you are getting to Miami and staying there.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place 17th Street and it was very nice.

We loved the location and amenities at the Shelborne in South Beach. If they still have the Live Like a Local special it's a great deal. We had a late flighr out after the cruise and they let us come back to lounge by the pool for the day. We took an uber from FLL to Miami and back after the cruise.

We always stay at the embassy suites 17th st and then take SAS shuttle to POM.

Embassy Suites is our preferred choice. Inexpensive.

Another vote for Embassy suites. Usually inexpensive (depends) and rooms are confortable. It's close to the cruise port, so a taxi is not expensive. Plus it includes a nice-ish breakfast

What are your travel dates? What time does your flight arrive? What is your hotel budget? Any kids?
