Razor_Poke Posted June 13, 2017 #327 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Wasn't going to comment, but oh, what the heck. The only thing that really stands out to me, out of 7 cruises, was our last cruise on Liberty out of San Juan in September 2015, which was a great cruise and one of our favorites. We were in the buffet line and there was a gal in front of us...waiting in line like everyone of us, or so we thought. Some man (tall, big built but not "buff"), just shoved right in front of the gal in front of us when we were getting close to the bacon. He had an empty cereal bowl and when he reached the staff member passing out the bacon, he said "Fill it". She gave him a large portion and apparently that didn't satisfy him, so he demanded again "I said FILL IT!". Just rude and ignorant. I should have gotten a video of him doing this to post on YouTube. :') I've seen the videos posted of extremely drunk passengers. It would be tough not to be confrontational. That guy was rude on 3 counts -- cutting in line, demanding the staffer to fill it, and then demanding again to fill it more. WOW

WOW I did tell the gal in front of us that she "wasn't invisible and that we could see her" (she laughed) and said it loud enough for "Mr. rude" to hear. Obviously he didn't even care, but he may be used to comments about his rude behavior. But that's as confrontational as I get. Definitely rude 3 counts and I can think of even one more, his failure to thank the gal passing out the bacon. ;)

watermelonqueen99 Posted June 14, 2017 #330 Share Posted June 14, 2017 Thought of another one. On the Splendor, we were sitting in one of the theaters waiting to get a tender in Half Moon Cay. It was mid-morning, and one man had already obviously visited the bar several times. He was quite loud. At one point, he decided he would get up and do a Magic Mike style strip tease. All he removed was his shirt before he sat back down, though. Later in the cruise, we saw him and one of his male travel companions singing "Barbie Girl" at Karaoke. Half the people in the audience got up and left, including us. Lol
jamscckmc Posted June 14, 2017 #331 Share Posted June 14, 2017 It always grosses me out when people put the part of their personal drinking bottle that they put their lips on up against the the drinking water dispenser. Noro anyone? The grossest though was a guy with a huge cold sore drinking out of his bottle then filling it with the part that touched his lip against the dispenser.
stevefrisco Posted June 14, 2017 #332 Share Posted June 14, 2017 Trigger Warning contains story about adults with lack of bowel control.....can't believe I just used a trigger warning. Tonight at the casino in my hometown, a really pretty girl in her early twenties was escorted out for crapping her pants at a slot machine and it made me remember these stories. I'm still sick to my stomach as I type this from tonight's incident. The stench was unbearable for hours after she left back in the poker room where I was playing. If I weren't in the tourney I would have left immediately. I had to keep going outside to smoke cigs to keep from ralphing. Anyways, on our first CCL cruise, an older, diminutive man who I had seen pounding vodka and OJ all day was sitting at a slot machine waiting for a "hot seat" drawing and crapped his pants. A larger lady from Louisiana hauled off and started hitting him with her purse. Security and casino officials were over to them really fast and she loudly explained that"this guy ***** himself". Both were removed from the scene and the bank of slots were shut down the rest of the cruise, I assume based on Noro fears. My FIL talked to him the next day and he was really nonchalant about it, blamed it on the OJ and the drawing not being on time:') The man must have the biggest kahonas on the planet for trying to blame someome else him crapping his pants. My other story was on Royal Caribbean on my first cruise. A really pretty girl (what is it with this theme?) was at the night club dancing and all of a sudden starts running out of the place like she was on fire. She knocked over a couple tables full of drinks (including mine) so security detained her while she was trying get out of the club. I ran over to yell at her and she was in tears with diarrhea running down her legs. I gave up on yelling at her and went back to my table. She was with a dual bachelorette/bachelor and I asked a dude in her group if she had health problems or something since she was crying. The guy assured me not to feel sorry for her and that she did it a couple times per year when she got too drunk. I've been known to get wild and drink to excess or gamble long stretches, but I can say I've crapped my pants at a casino or drinking. Geeze

Bigmo6967 Posted June 16, 2017 #338 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Just last cruise a drunk 50 year old lady who had obviously locked herself out of her room was trying loudly to proposition the steward who let her into her room to come in and have a go at some extra curricular activities. She had a hold of his arm and was actually trying to pull him in. I had my 6 year old daughter and wife with me and walked on down the hall to my room once I was sure he had back up to get free. My wife left the room shortly after and said that the same lady had to be pulled off of the stage in the Atrium by security after repeatedly being asked to leave the stage by the musician trying to perform. When we both left a few moments later she was being held inside her room by security and calling out that the steward was trying to come inside her room and sexually assault her. Of course there was more than enough witnesses and I am sure video to show otherwise.

SkyPiglet Posted June 16, 2017 #342 Share Posted June 16, 2017 I am torn between three things. Two dramatic, and one just bad attitude... A) A drunk annoyed man cussing up a storm in the buffet line in front of a little girl (maybe 10 years old). When the girl's father politely asked him not to swear in front of his daughter, the drunk acted aggressively, challenged the father to a fight, and then said "Ain't no police here to help you man!" B) A very drunk guy changed about $900 for chips at the Craps table. He was having some rough luck, and got verbally abusive with the Russian dealer at the table. He then started yelling and raising a scene, threatened to call "Immigration" on her. When the security officers came, he demanded an audience with the captain, refused to back down and continued to berate them for about 15 minutes. I was amazed how calm they stayed. Eventually one of the Italian officers arrived and was escorted away. The next port was St. Maarten, and two American ICE officers came on board as we were getting off. I always wondered if those events were related. C) While waiting in line for the MDR, we struck up a conversation with a well-to-do lady in line with us. She had been on 40 or 50 cruises so far on different lines! We asked how Carnival compared to the others. She said "It's pretty much the same, with one except for the clientele, if you know what I mean. They are just like those the people in po-dunk (her words, not mine) Detroit where my husband did some contract work." It was clear from earlier things she had said, that her message had racial overtones. She then asked "So where are you guys from, and what do you do?" I turned to her and said "Oh, I am a middle school teacher in inner-city Detroit, and I love it!" When then got called to our table :-D

lelder1 Posted June 16, 2017 #348 Share Posted June 16, 2017 We just got off the Sunshine and saw a guy one night up in Serenity puking into the recycling bin for cans. As we quickly walked around him, we saw he had actually started puking before and left a trail of vomit on the deck. Super beyond gross! I feel sorry for the crew having to clean all of it up. We also saw 4 incredibly drunk people stumble into the kids camp when they saw the giant Mr. Potato head - they were yelling and being so loud and obnoxious right there where the kids could see and hear them. Beyond wasted.
WetToes Posted June 16, 2017 #349 Share Posted June 16, 2017 On Imagination last month my gf saw someone stealing a stack of photos. She just slipped in her purse and walked right into the casino. My gf tried to notify the workers, but she was GONE. We spent like 60-70 bucks on pictures so we were in shock to see someone just take them. Okay. Apparently I've had a long day. I first read this as a 'sack of potatoes'. lol
SkyPiglet Posted June 17, 2017 #350 Share Posted June 17, 2017 What does American look like? I doubt US Immigration was working in St. Maarten. It was about three years ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but for sure he was a tall guy, strong build. He was stepping on board the ship, and spoke with no accent at all, but I didn't hear much. His uniform was clean, crisp looking, and all black (not the common light top with dark pants seen in port), no hat, and had a shield-shaped badge that said either immigration, ICE, or Customs. Like I said, I thought it would be odd for an American police officer to be working in a foreign country, unless there was some sort of cooperation with local authorities. It would make sense for local authorities to do that when literally thousands of Americans are on the island for a day, and I am sure occasionally people are kicked off the ships, or more commonly miss the ship before it leaves, leaving passports etc on board. Someone from Immigration and Customs would seem logical to assist in repatriating any such person, especially if a passport or other documentation is left on board, but I am not at all knowledgeable in how those things actually work.
