Ultra Casino Cruise

I received the offer today, but they are all on the East coast ports. No love for Long Beach, so I am out.

I am not an inside cabin kind of guy, and even if I wanted to fly to take an Ultra, all the sweet cabins are already booked. I am really averse to fly to take a cruise. It is akin to people in Los Angeles that put their dog in the car to take him someplace for a walk...

Received ours today for December 9 on the Freedom. This will be our second Ultra. So excited !

We booked the Ultra Cruise on the Freedom too. This will be our 3rd Ultra Cruise. Last year's Ultra Cruise we were on the Breeze. Were you on that one?

Can you give me more info on these cruises? Such as what is so special about them? Why would I want to do this cruise as opposed to another? We have never done an ultra cruise so just trying to decide. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I have the same questions. I received the offer, but the rate is quite high - for the Vista, an inside cabin is $ 747.75 each for 2 to the cabin. That's really not much of a savings from what is normally charged. So, is there a lot of casino cash or what.

I'm going on a Premier Cruise in September on the Glory - 7 days, was only $556.14 each and I'm getting $400 casino cash and my sister is getting $500 - so it's basically a free cruise. Just wondering why the Ultra is considered better. Anyone??

They are by invitation only based on your points in the casino. There are several levels in ascending order select, premier, ultra, and elite.

The casino host multiple invitee only events such as a welcome aboard party, slot tournaments and raffles.

If you are a gambler and enjoy the casino they are fun.

I've been on several Premier cruises and received the discounted cruise plus cash - I just don't understand how the Ultra cruises are suppose to be better deals than the Premier. You have multiple invitee only events, and the welcome aboard party, DOU, raffles, etc on the Premier.

Like I said earlier, the prices on the Ultra Sunshine cruise do not seem to be discounted much if at all and from what I understand there is no casino cash. Since it sounds like you've been on both, can you tell me how it's better than the Premier.

I want to type this fast because if you haven't booked the Ultra Cruise by now, all the limited slots may be gone. If click my name, you can view previous posts. Scroll down to the Magic Ultra cruie posts. Read the whole thread though. Detailed description of a Ultra Cruise from last year.

I will admit, the Vista was way too expensive. More than double the price. We have been on the Freedom twice and we're hoping that this year's Ultra Cruise would be on the Breeze again. We love those cove balconies! Not a problem though as we like the Freedom and was able to get my favorite cabin!

I can't say that the ultra is better. I can share that you are guaranteed a gift of $300 or more in value. Some of those gifts are really nice. Last year they were things like I pads, I pad minis, latest version of cell phones, there were a couple of big screen TVs, Tag Hager watches, good stuff. As an invitee you are provided with a time to be in the casino. They randomly call names and then you pick your prize. Also random.

Every night at midnight they have a drawing for a free balcony cruise and on the last night free cruise in a suite with OBC and excursions.

There are drawings throughout the day such as Matilda the cash cow. The computer picks a name and if selected you pick on of her spots and receive the cash award.

Lots of things to keep you in the casino. I was exhausted after last years. I went down for the midnight drawing and would end up sitting and visiting with my friends. Then up early for port days. I need a cruise to recover from my cruise. LOL.

We booked the Ultra out of New Orleans. We are very excited. We've never been on the Dream or cruised out of New Orleans. This will be our first Ultra. We did a Premier in January and had a great time. And yes, they do keep you busy in the casino.

Looking like the Sunshine is fully booked. The Dream is almost out of interiors and upgrading isn't that great of a deal. 1300+ for OV. 1500+ for balcony. The other 2 I can't get time off for (although the Vista prices don't seem very good). Looking at my premier offers and they look better than the Ultra. Prices are a little less, my wife and I both get casino cash and more dates to choose from.

Guess I'll just enjoy our free cruise we have in about 3 weeks and see if we get any new offers.

I am booked for the November 12 Ultra Premier on the Dream out of New Orleans. This will be my 2nd Ultra. The Ultras are like Premiers on steroids!! There will be over $100,000 in prizes given out on each Ultra. My Ultra offer is identical to my Premier offers in cost of the cruise and amount of casino cash. I got discounted room and $900 casino cash for each. On my first ultra cruise in 2015 my big ultra gift was an IPad Air 2. Each invited guest is guaranteed to get a gift of at least $300 in value. I also got my first casino jackpot handpay on that ultra cruise.

When was your Ultra out of New Orleans? We booked a Premier in January on the Dream. Just curious how you liked it overall as well as the Ultra perks?
