The Hilton Hotel Downtown Miami may be what you want. A short taxi ride to POM would be faster than waiting for other car services

Doubletree on Biscayne Blvd. in downtown Miami offers some rooms with a view of the port! :)

We stayed at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina for our Pre Cruise Hotel. Family of 11 had the time of our life there! Great view of the marina and bay, view of the cruise ships, water taxi at your doorstep to explore on for REALLY cheap, close to restaurants and stores for any last minute things you may need for your cruise.

 

We would definitely stay there again...Kinda bummed that our next cruise is out of Miami and not Fort Lauderdale. haha

Downtown Miami it's the Conrad Hilton.

 

Nice hotel and a great location. Near lots of restaurants between Brickell Centre (opened in 2016) and Mary Brickell Village.

We fly Southwest so will fly into FLL and stay overnight at the Hilton Marina. Have a shuttle picking us up the next day at the hotel and taking us to POM. Costs $15pp. We did this in 2014 and it was easy peasy.

 

To return, we'll have the same shuttle service pick us up at POM and go directly to FLL airport. Another $15pp.

If you are flying into FLL the Embassy Suites offers all of the standard ES features, plus lots of nearby dining and shopping options. Uber from FLL should be about $10 and another Uber to POM the next day will run closer to $35+
