Rare MistyRo76 Posted June 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2017 Hello - Looking for some recommendations on transportation options to get us from FLL to our hotel in downtown Miami, to the Port of Miami the next day and back to FLL post-cruise. We will have our three year old with us, so we require a car seat. We are not traveling with one as we won't need one in the ports we are going to. Needing the car seat eliminates using taxi's or Uber. And we definitely prefer to have a private ride versus a ride-share type transfer. When we cruised in 2015 with our daughter, we used Easy Transportation Services in Miami and they were great! But I've tried reaching out to them a couple times with no response. I've tried them again and also sent a request for quotes to Howard Transportation. Are there any other services people would recommend? Thanks! JohninDC Posted June 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2017 SAS, QLS and Go Airport Shuttle offer car seats on some shuttles. What hotel in Miami? A few offer shuttles to POM; you can request an Uber with a car seat - few available, so you might need to wait. You might consider staying near FLL at a hotel offering airport shuttle service - then you only need to worry about the car seat on the shuttle ride. Better yet, bring your own seat - there are some great travel seats available on Amazon. The airline will check the seat for free if you do not use it on the flight. We are staying with a group at the Hampton Inn & Suites Brickell. We typically like to stay around Bayside but the Intercontinental didn't have any availability. I like to stay in an area with lots of options for dining/shopping/entertainment, so we typically don't like to stay near the airport. Thanks for the tip on travel seats. But we just really don't want to lug one around (believe me, I have enough to lug around luggage-wise already, plus the toddler and her stroller). We won't need it on the cruise or it ports either. When we cruised on the Breeze in 2015, we didn't bring a car seat and everything worked out great.

Ashland Posted June 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2017 We've recently used South Florida Shuttles...They offer infant or toddler car seats (no extra charge)...they bring them in the van and you install them...quick and easy...while the driver loads your luggage. We (extended family of 7) had amazing service from them in March with our 3 year old grandson. Will definitely use them again when we need transportation with car seats.
