B2B in Miami

Hi B2B experts! Looking forward to our upcoming B2B on Equinox, eastern then western; is it too much trouble to try to get off the ship in Miami for a few hours? Sounds like not enough time for an Everglades tour, but a quick speedboat tour seems doable. Has anyone done that during their B2B pitstop? Or is it better to just relax onboard and snicker at those who are being booted off ;p since we'll be in that position the following week :loudcry:

This :D

Seriously, to have the ship just about empty, priceless.

We love sea days and often consider a "turn around day" as a sea day. In Miami (or other US Ports) this does mean you still must disembark for the US Authority's "Zero Out" procedure....but this is a minor annoyance. Since we seldom to never take an excursion...that is generally not even a consideration. But if the weather is good in Miami, we might decide to get off the ship for a few hours and perhaps go over to South Beach to enjoy both the beach and immediate area. For the serious shoppers, perhaps they would want to go to Sawgrass Mills for a few hours. But otherwise we would be back on the ship (as soon as cleared) and enjoy a relaxing day.

There are two great museums in a beautiful park setting very close to the port (less than 3 miles from the Celebrity Terminal). They are just north of the AA Arena. You might be able to see it from, your ship. Here are the websites.

You might want to give them a try.

The Frost Science museum just opened. It is supposedly really nice but I have not been there yet. You can also do a tour of the Art Deco buildings on South Beach. Whatever you choose enjoy your trip.
