Marleycruiser Posted June 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2017 I am currently booked on the July 30th Celebrity Summit cruise and my idea date to have gone would have been earlier in the month. I am paid in full for my July 30th cruise, but do you think the cruise line would let me switch dates of the sailing? I would still be paying more on the July 30th sailing than any other sailing in early July but I have a feeling the fine print states I can not make such change. Let me know your experiences. Rare Essiesmom Posted June 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2017 You would be cancelling and rebooking, and as you are past final payment you would lose significant money. EM
lostchild Posted June 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2017 If you cancel now, you lose about 50% of the fare. Maybe you could do the early July one on top of the late July one! :D
Rare chemmo Posted June 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Worth a phone call....surely it is to their advantage to fill up an earlier sailing cruise than a later one. If when you contact they can not do it without significant cost you can just stay as you are.
awhcruiser Posted June 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2017 Maybe give Celebrity a call? The answer is always no unless you ask!
sanger727 Posted June 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 18, 2017 You are correct - the fine print says that you can't make a change like that after your final payment date. Never hurts to call and ask but don't be surprised when they charge a hefty cancellation penalty to do it. In the future it's best to make changes like this prior to the final payment date.
