New Zealand October weather

Will be traveling to Auckland the middle of October, what will the weather be? Should we have a heavy coat or sweater or is it shorts and T-shirt weather?

A quick Google search for "Auckland October weather", or "Wellington October weather" will get you the factual data.

It won't be shorts and t-shirt weather, although you might get a warmish day in the North Island. Pack layers. NZ weather can be very variable. You probably won't need heavy coats but a good rain jacket is a must, plus a warm hat, scarf and gloves for scenic cruising though Fiordland. I usually take a light fleece that fits under my rainjacket - that way I'm covered for all possibilities.

For NZ always have a rain jacket with you whether it is forecast for warm day or not. I would think T-shirt and long sleeved shirt over the top and jeans would be okay for October in Auckland. Bring the jumper and or rain jacket.

Spring weather in Auckland is changeable, blustery and showery. It is sweater weather. A warm jacket and rain protection will keep you comfortable. Hope you have a great time!
