Flymia Posted August 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2017 How big are the bags? Large suitcases? Uber is usually the easiest and quickest way. There are also other shuttle options that are often recommended on here. Uber would be around $40.00 and Uber X around $70.00 You are flying into FLL day of the cruise? What time do you arrive? tkportersat Posted August 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2017 Following....We too will be flying in FLL (Southwest points). Trying to determine what mode of transportation to take and if we should fly in day before or not. MSC shows departure of 7pm....We have always driven to Galveston or New Orleans, so this will be a whole new experience for us.
JohninDC Posted August 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2017 If you can squeeze into UberX that will be cheapest option - as mentioned above about $35-40. Otherwise, shared shuttle service from SAS, QLS, Go Airport and others is easy and cheap - about $15 per person each way.

If you had to go to the larger Uber XL, you'd probably pay as much as a cab....around $75. Not the best value. For three with luggage, the $15 per person rate is a good deal. We have used QLS a couple times. Easy to book ahead of time online and with cell phone, you call when you have your bags and they'll tell you where to go to meet the van. That is how most work. You might have to make a stop at another ship, but it's a pretty easy way to transport.
Midwest Sunseeker Posted August 1, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 1, 2017 We did this transfer three times last year . We use Uber x and enjoyed the experience. It was a Prius a few times which is fine for the two of us and our carry on bags. However, one time we did this with a taxi and it was grimy, he drove fast and missed our ship as he drove the port road. Then he went the wrong way on the road and the policeman made him turn around and go around again. Since our flight had been delayed 6hours and we had to be on the ship in 30mins we got out and walked to the ship. We now fly in the day before. We have use Uber XL when going to Port Everglades and we're very impressed with the vehicles used. At that time we were 4 adults and a 2year old with tons of gear. nhraformula00 Posted August 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 2, 2017 I believe SAS charges $13 P.P. for 3 or more in a group, and $15 P.P. for 2 or less.

One mechanical issues, one storm 1,000 miles away and you miss your trip. Fly in the afternoon/evening/night before. If it just two people always use Uber/Lyft anything else just does not make sense, its the quickest option, usually good service, and easy. To the OP you might fit into an Uberx, it depends. I have gotten full size sedans with Uber X and I have gotten smaller cars or even a Suburban.
