mrpayroll Posted August 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2017 We just returned from Nassau on the Liberty ( Aug. 24 2017 ). We had our two grand kids ages 8 and 10. We were looking for something to do while in Nassau. We decided to walk to the Queens staircase and visit Fort Fincastle. It was about a fifteen minute walk to the staircase and then up the stairs to the fort. The fort admission was $1.08 per person. We then walked back to town and shopped at the straw market and walked along the water back to the ship. Very enjoyable. :)

marshhawk Posted August 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2017 Thanks for the information-we did an inexpensive day a couple of years ago, we waked over to Christ Church, which is open to the public at no charge, and read all the history of Nassau on the walls .By history, I mean you can see the plaques that mention those lost at sea, those caught up in plagues and poxes, very interesting. The stain glass windows are beautiful and we left a donation in the donation box.

blue_water Posted August 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2017 When we have a few hours left we like to walk up to the Graycliff Hotel and just walk around the hotel and grounds, then head to the Hilton beach bar for a drink after.
