MadMarine Posted September 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2017 Umm.... I read somewhere on the forum that a SSS Gold received a gold key card. So, does the color of the card indicate your SSS level or something else or nothing else..... ? Thanks, Mad
NCCruzQueen Posted September 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2017 Yes, Mad, Your key color is tied into your SSS level. See the colors here. https://www.rssc.com/seven-seas-society/members-benefits

Rare Caroldoll Posted September 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2017 O.K. I don't want to argue, but I have always had a gold card? How is that? Just curious.
NCCruzQueen Posted September 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2017 O.K. I don't want to argue, but I have always had a gold card? How is that? Just curious. I was going by the SSS colors and UUNetBill's comment in his review thread: "On a side note, we hit Gold this trip and upon check-in we got smiles, congratulations, and our shiny gold key cards…but our parents should have hit Silver on this cruise but they were issued Bronze cards." UUNetBill Posted September 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2017 O.K. I don't want to argue, but I have always had a gold card? How is that? Just curious. I'm assuming you're Gold? Maybe this is a recent change and you've been Gold since it was started? I just know that for the last 8 years we've had a stripe along the edge of our key cards that corresponded to our SSS color... rcandkc Posted September 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Our card definitely changed from silver to gold when we reached gold.
Travelcat2 Posted September 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Ours changed as well. Silver and Platinum look almost identical. The strip on the Platinum card is a bit darker gray. Titanium is blue.
Mjflowers Posted September 9, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 9, 2017 I suppose we should all start wearing our key cards around our necks so everybody knows what color we are. Not that it matters anyway, does it?:D
Travelcat2 Posted September 9, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 9, 2017 The TS asked the question and deserves an answer.
UUNetBill Posted September 9, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 9, 2017 I suppose we should all start wearing our key cards around our necks so everybody knows what color we are. Not that it matters anyway, does it?:D It only matters for the SSS perks - my in-laws went silver on our last cruise and were entitled to a hour of phone time. Regent lost one of their cruises and they were only bronze. If I hadn't noticed their key cards I wouldn't have known about the cruise missing from their profile and they probably would have been billed for their phone time. They may have noticed it later, they may not have.

xrvlcruiser Posted September 10, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 10, 2017 The only people who see my card are Security when I leave/return to the ship. And I suppose it someone looks over my shoulder when I use the key to go into my cabin. What the color of the stripe is, is irrelevant.
