bcruisin2alaska Posted September 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2017 We will be on the Carnival Legend & Southwest last flight of the day to our home area is 10:25AM. I know we can't make that unless every thing falls into place exactly as planned, (never happens). We are staying downtown for 3 days prior to cruise so thinking about staying near airport and leaving the next day. What are good options for getting from Carnival's pier to hotels near the airport, hopefully a hotel that will provide shuttle to airport the morning of our flight. Anyone have a favorite airport hotel? Last minute change in flights have messed up our plans big time. Thanks in advance.:(

bcruisin2alaska Posted September 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2017 I left out the city it is SEATTLE. We will be on the Carnival Legend & Southwest last flight of the day to our home area is 10:25AM. I know we can't make that unless every thing falls into place exactly as planned, (never happens). We are staying downtown for 3 days prior to cruise so thinking about staying near airport and leaving the next day. What are good options for getting from Carnival's pier to hotels near the airport, hopefully a hotel that will provide shuttle to airport (SEATAC)the morning of our flight. Rare martincath Posted September 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Try getting your outbound flight brought a day later as well as your return flight and spend 2 days pre- and then another post- instead. That way your total time away won't be impacted for loss of vaycay time, you'll still have three days downtown, and you will be much better-positioned to make your flight home from a hotel you can leave whenever you want instead of a ship that might run late (or will at least see you fighting with everyone else for early disembark and transportation). But if you can afford the extra time and do just want to bump your homeward flight a day, we stay at the Sleep Inn when we need to be near Seatac - clean, cheap, decent free brekkie and a shuttle to the airport. craftygrandma Posted September 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2017 With SWA there is no fee to change or cancel, but if you do not purchase 7 days prior the cost is more. My suggestion would be to keep the current reservation and make one now for the next day also. Then if you can not make the first one, call and cancel then use the one for the next day. If you make the first one, you can cancel the second one. You will receive a credit from SWA that you can use within 12 months for the cancelled flight. riffatsea Posted September 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Why wouldn't you make the flight? We've been at the airport in Seattle by about 8:30AM. Luckily you are on Southwest and they have a very generous change policy. IF you see you are running late you can change the flight with no problem. What time was it originally scheduled?
