Are gratuities now included for all Suite classes?

The difference is that the Eat, drink, play promotion was a permanent perk added to those cabins with no end date. The free gratuities is a promotion ith set dates that the cruise must be booked between. It's really no different than Royal running a promotion offering OBC.

Thanks for confirming that, Ken. For a while there I was on a pretty good run with getting promos and OBC added to cruises. Looks like, at least for now, I'm running out of luck. There's still plenty of time before we sail, so I'll keep looking.

Yet another question: can anyone tell me where the free gratuities would appear on my booking confirmation? I'm always wary until I can see it in writing.

Ask whoever booked your cruise to send you Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation. There should be a line item for gratuities.

TA (a big box store agent who has had very reliable reps so far) just called and spoke to two reps at Royal. Said "there are no free gratuity promotions going on with Royal Caribbean right now"...

The plot thickens. Any idea what to "call" this free gratuities promotion? I'm looking at the flyer linked but there's no "code" or place I can easily refer them it seems. (And its not showing on Royals main site anywhere...)

UPDATE: I phoned Crown and Anchor direct. Agent knew about the promotion and was nice enough to call "another department" to verify eligibility of my booking. After 10 mins, he came back on, stated that my booking is eligible, and that the free gratuities credit amount will be applied my booking roughly a week prior to the sale date. (I'm 47 days out now.) He also stated he made a note on my booking in case the TA receives conflicting information from another Royal rep in the future.

I'm just considering it a great surprise if we indeed get the free grats now at this point ;p

My daughter is a travel agent and she got the same reply when she called in about the free gratuities for suites. It will be applied to the booking 7 days prior to the cruise date. She is going to call back in 2 weeks to see if she gets the same answer and also make sure it is noted on the bookings.

Smart... I will likely do the same.

Booked a family jr suite on Anthem for 2018 in early Sep. Promotion was applied to my reservation automatically (I didn't call in for an adjustment) approx 7 days later. Free grats was applied for persons 1 and 2 only and appeared as a credit on my invoice. I booked using casino rates and the promo was applied.

Yes, you should be eligible for the free grats promo if you are on Harmony or a Quantum class ship.

Thanks Bob for your great words of wisdom and the RCI web side describing the promotion. I called this RC this afternoon regarding a reservation I made last May on the Anthem for a cruise in Sept. 2018. Within minutes, I received the free gratuity promotion. I also switched to the non-refundable deposit option and saved an additional $450 (and also got $100 OBC). Thanks again.

I'm on the Oasis on april 15 2018 I didnt pay in full yet so I called today to see if I could get free tips.I was told they dont have a promo going on at this time.I advised the rep to check the RCCL web site for that date for a JS & he would see it.He told me this is the 1st time he had see it,so he asked a supervisor if I could get it I was told no,not at the price I booked the cruise at.I booked this cruise a year ago & got it for about $800 cheaper. He advised if he rebook it I could get free tips but at todays amount.

Sounds like I'm getting the run around.Need help

That rep's information sounds like it's accurate. To apply the free gratuities promotion to your booking, it requires you to have made your booking with prevailing rates from Sept 1-Oct 31st 2017.

If you booked before September 1st, applying the offer will trigger a "repricing" of your cabin. Sounds like this offer isn't a good deal for you since you got a great rate ($800 cheaper!) than today's rates.

Only if the price of your JS was the same now as when you booked it would you be able to get the free gratuities, otherwise changing or adding the current promo will result in repricing.

*SIGH* Called my TA today about something else about my booking, and we're back to "no free gratuities" for the booking. Even if I did something wrong in the way I asked for this promotion to be applied... I'm most annoyed because Royal now says they have no record of my call to Crown and Anchor.
