Etiquette on SKY

New here.

 

SKY is Open Bar. Tip or not to tip? Is the fee wrapped up in booking package? First time on NCL.

Tips are included. Last week my family tipped extra $1unless bartender or server ignored us or didn't make drink with requested call brand.

I tip a dollar every drink. It's not much and really appreciated.

Sky has higher daily charge to cover it. If you want to give more cash go ahead but if not it's already covered

We are just off the Sky and tipped bartenders and waiters a dollar per drink

Bar tenders are not included in the daily charge. You should tip them.

Sky has higher DSC than the other ships. My understanding is that that is meant to cover the bartenders since they don't pay the UBP service charge.

The gratuities cover the room steward, restaurant servers and behind-the-scenes support staff. -- their words, not mine. Increased charge is supposedly because of the high demand for the alcohol included policy. Problem is that if you don't drink, you still get charged the same AND bottled water is not included. Fountain sodas are but not cans.
