Rare Turtles06 Posted October 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2017 We've never been to Coco Cay before, and have a stop there in February on the Anthem (assuming we can tender that day). Will the island/beaches be uncomfortably crowded with such a large ship calling? Any tips for a Coco Cay newbie? Thanks!
FLACRUISER99 Posted October 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2017 Freedom class ships visit without a problem. Quantum class carry about 500 more passengers.
cb at sea Posted October 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2017 It will be pretty crowded....but doable. Not everyone gets off the ship, you know! Folks who enjoy pools will generally stay on the ship. And, folks come and go all day long....you'll find a "spot" on the beach! The 1st beach you come to will be the most crowded. Lots of beaches there
DonnaK Posted October 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2017 We were there on our Anthem cruise in March, and there was PLENTY of room! I was pleasantly surprised with the extensive buffet lunch served ashore. Not just the usual BBQ stuff, but also paella, roasted pig, lots of interesting salads, etc. Really nice! pbinn Posted October 29, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 29, 2017 We were there several years ago and found that if we went to the right when we hit the beach it was quieter with lots of hammocks and chairs. This area is away form the main beach . It was a beautiful island for the day.
