Rare mking8288 Posted November 4, 2017 Author #201 Share Posted November 4, 2017 See this image, I could understand that it is a matter of convenience. It is the only one designated around this section. Open for hot discussion on its own as mentioned by others on BA recently. We have 9844 booked for Thanksgiving week. Trying to get an idea of where ours will be. Hoping to grab a hi top in O'sheehan's to watch the 4:30 football game. Rare mking8288 Posted November 4, 2017 Author #204 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Our BD balcony, more than roomy for 2, really don't need a mini suite. Much rather cruise more often with the savings. Heading soon to catch crew's talent show Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mianmike Posted November 4, 2017 #205 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Great review Mking! In eight days we'll be staying a few doors down in 9282. Would you mind looking and see if when our door is open people in the elevator waiting area can easily see in our room? Thanks!
Rare mking8288 Posted November 4, 2017 Author #206 Share Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) No problem w 9282 by design. Michael is RS for this section, very nice & friendly. Door decorations all week outside cabin doors. Passage can be an issue w walkers & wheelchairs. Photos are from Fwd Starboard. This is how we set up our non surge power cord extension. ResQDawgma! Posted November 4, 2017 #209 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Mking: enjoying your blog. Am also on BA right now - deck 11, port/forward. We’ve enjoyed the week. Quick question: this is my first time on NCL. Is it customary to tip, additionally, not just daily service charge, the room steward? Ours has been good. If so, what does anyone suggest? $20? $40? More??? I just don’t know protocol. Thx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On RS, it isn't a custom, but we generally do about $20 to $30 for good service and hand it to them early, like this evening. Also, write a Hero Card from Guest Services, it is good for them. Rare mking8288 Posted November 4, 2017 Author #211 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Per requests earlier, menu from Cagney & Moderno and Stateroom views near AFT stairs & elevators Memo to all Wifi users, very slow since many are online today, so plan it #9282 on BA, stateroom doors here all open out into recessed corridor
3forfl Posted November 4, 2017 #212 Share Posted November 4, 2017 Not OP but we were in 9876 on BA and thought it was a fantastic location. No noise issues and very convenient to dining and activities. Oh that sounds good then... thanks for all your help!!
Dina7 Posted November 4, 2017 #213 Share Posted November 4, 2017 We got off the Breakaway last Sunday & agree with you about category BD balcony being roomy enough for two people. My DH & I both said any more than 2 people in the room we thought would feel too tight especially when getting ready for the day or for dinner. Rare mking8288 Posted November 5, 2017 Author #224 Share Posted November 5, 2017 Hey Mking! Thanks for taking us along for the ride! That week went way too fast. Welcome back to good ole NYC :) Hi, there and everyone following, that is what CC is all about, we share - learn - read - write - cheer and sometimes debate & disagree, becoming wiser and smarter in making choices & stretch our cruise dollars. Almost 1,200 minutes on 1 GB/250 plan ... only on the BA. Something fun & interesting to chat about ahead, for days & weeks, if not months from now. All my bags are packed and ready to go ... not leaving on a jet plane, but ... Snapped a pix of our bags just in case. Plus, pix of AOS earlier & just for Dexddd ... balcony porch light. plode682 Posted November 5, 2017 #225 Share Posted November 5, 2017 I am self carrying off tomorrow. Last Breakaway trip I did it was an absolute nightmare getting off the ship and just as had once I got down into luggage area/customs area. I got in line to get off the ship at 8:45am, I didn't leave the pier till 11:30. I'm hoping this trip isn't so bad. Finding my luggage took me close to 20-25 minutes alone.
