Yacht Club Check-In

We're getting down to the last few days and details just ahead of our November 11th Divina sailing. We'll be driving to the port in Miami and I'm a little unsure of how best to do the drop-off and check-in thing. I understand I am at all costs to avoid the temptation ;) to drop luggage at the regular check-in location and should keep driving until I get to a Yacht Club tent or area or podium. I plan to park our car in the port parking deck. So, should I drop our luggage and my wife at the YC check-in area, park the car and then walk back to meet her? That seems to make the most sense, but I'm a planner and like to "see" the entire process in my head before embarking on something new or in a new location. Google Earth is no help on this one. Thanks much!

Yes, that’s.correct. Go to the white tent, drop off luggage, leave wife there, park car, walk back to tent where you will be escorted to the YC lounge for check in. She must have your tickets and passports there to complete check in. Have a wonderful pampering experience.

Thank you for this post.

We will be arriving via Uber for YC on Seaside. Do I ask the driver to drop us off by the tent? Is the tent much father than the regular drop-off area with luggage?

Thank you.

Seaside will be docking at a new terminal so no one knows at this time exactly where the YC tent will be located. So your driver will just have to be on the lookout for the tent. It is usually away from the regular drop off spots. Hope this helps.

For Divina, we did exactly that....I stopped at the tent and the porter helped with our bags, I then went and parked the car and walked back to the tent. They will not process your wife or take your luggage until you return. Once you return, the porter will take the luggage for you and the Tent Butler will check you in at the tent, and then escort you to the lounge when you will get your keycards etc, and your first Proseco and some cookie. Once ready you will be escorted up to the YC. A very painless experience.

Just to clarify--Leaving in YC category

once the taxi lets you off, I should walk myself to the white tent, with my luggage,

or is their a porter that will walk the luggage with me to the white tent?

From the descriptions given by other posters, I was able to use Google Maps and drop Pegman right at what I'm certain is the Yacht Club tent I keep hearing about. It is the only tent set up outside of Cruise Terminal F. It's at the very end of the drop-off area and seems to be right outside of the terminal main entrance. How convenient!!

Ask the driver to stop at the white tent. Not before. No need to walk luggage anywhere.

Greetings

I believe that Seaside will be using the same terminal as Divina currently uses (terminal F). They are in the process of "upgrading" the terminal. The new terminal (terminal A) which is being built at the far east end is a RCL terminal which will be used for the new megaship they are basing in Miami.

Good Sailing

Tom

Thanks for the info. I sure hope so as parking across from the ship is so convenient.

The YC tent is easy to spot and is usually easy to drop off at. By all means ask the driver to drop you at the YC tent.
