Betty in Cozumel Posted November 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2017 Thanks for posting and hope to see more. We are sailing the Millennium from Hong Kong to Singapore on January 7-21. Tell us all about it. The shape of the ship, the food, etc. How did you like Singapore? We are staying one night after our cruise and hope to cover the highlights in 2 days. Sammy1 Posted November 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2017 We love your sailing philosophy, as outlined in your signature, Debbie. We're starting to feel the same way! :D We're booked on a Millennium SE Asia cruise in November 2018, with a slightly different itinerary, but stopping at some of the same ports you are about to visit. So, we're anxiously looking forward to following your adventure, with hopefully lots of photos. I see you've mastered the challenge of posting photos very nicely. Have a wonderful trip! TeaBag Posted November 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2017 We have spent more time on Millie than any other Celebrity ship (91 days) and enjoyed them all. On our last cruise on her, we had the absolute best room steward we have ever had. We also had amazing service in Blu.
debshomespun Posted November 13, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Dinner last night in the MDR was good, service a little slow. We had the prime rib, very good. I had Thai chilled coconut soup, too spicy for me and a salad. DH had shrimp cocktail and escargot. I forgot to take pictures. Mint is the sommelier and seems very knowledgeable on her wines. Didn't go to the show. Went to the casino. DH likes to play the slots. They have a special for slot play. He paid $500. & Got $575. on his card. He played through $175, and got $164. Not too bad, let him play. He will download $5-$10 in a machine, and cash out his winnings. He's not a big spender. We are traveling with another couple. Their son is currently living in Singapore for 3 yrs for work. While in Singapore, we have been staying with them. When they got their luggage yesterday, everything was wet. When we boarded, it was raining and their luggage must have been on top. We had experienced this in Australia, so I suggested she ho to guest services and complain. Celebrity stepped up and is washing their clothes, free of charge Millie seems to be in great condition. Carpeting looks new. We are in a 2C cabin, deck 6, a slant. Relaxing by the pool at our favorite spot on Millie. Sent from my XT1565 using Forums mobile app

debshomespun Posted November 13, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Pre dinner drinks at the Martini bar with friends. Dinner in the MDR was very slow tonight, 2 hours. 🤔 I had French onion soup with the BBQ Cobra, and DH had the frig legs, French onion soup and shrimp scampi. Show tonight is the singers and dancers, which we decided to not go to, and visit the casino instead. Early morning tomorrow, we dock at Ho Chi Min, Vietnam at 7am, and gave a full day private tour. Afternoons are very quiet on the ship. People are eating dinner later. Not many people playing in the casino. Redtravel Posted November 13, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Enjoy reading your postings. I will be on the Millennium in March. Curious about your excursions. Does the ship sell visas on board for Vietnam? Since the cruise is based in Asia, are the menus the same as on most X ships? Or do they offer Asian type food like dim sum for breakfast? debshomespun Posted November 14, 2017 Author #22 Share Posted November 14, 2017 Today our port stop was Phu My. We arranged for a private excursion with Xuan:. http://www.tourwithxuan.com. Our day was fabulous! Xuan met us just outside the port gate, we were almost 15 minutes early too. The drive into the city took almost 1.5 hours. First we went to the local market We then walked around the back streets. Sent from my XT1565 using Forums mobile app
