datolim Posted November 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I am on the Mariner about once a month in SG. I only see shrimp once per cruise in the WJ. The little shrimp is also served one time in the MDR. Is it just cruises in this part of the world. We eat alot of seafood here. End up ordering lobster at least once per cruise. Coralc Posted November 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2017 In 1992 on Viking Serenade, Royal Caribbean had full size lobster tails with filet mignon in the MDR. I'm not really a lobster fan, so I won't pay to order one. But that was a truly excellent meal. I was so impressed with cruising. :D On our first Princess cruise (1994) , they had Alaskan King Crab legs and I thought it was the best thing ever. I love Alaskan King Crab. I like shrimp too. Those 2 cruises were memorable for the shellfish....since then, not so much. :D Although lately, the windjammer has had a nice setup with shrimp on ice at least a couple of evenings. :)
chrisby Posted November 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2017 We've always had plenty of seafood, I had some sort of it every day, typically for lunch and dinner, so it must be your area Sent from my K88 using Forums mobile app
dreadpirate3 Posted November 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2017 I usually have fish at lunch in the MDR, occasionally have fish in the MDR for dinner, and have seen different fish offered at each meal. Shellfish has been restricted to crab, shrimp, and occasionally lobster. I have seen mussels on the menu a time or two. These have not been on long voyages or high end ships.
