I notice today on my sailing that the deluxe drink pack now says Buy one get one 50% . The price currently at $41 does that mean the second person is $20.5 per day? I called and they said its not, they said the $41 is already 25% per person off, so two people would = 50%.

Just like the cabin prices -the "sale" and "discount" is already factored in on the price they show on the first screen. Be happy that it's that low - that's a good price already.

my cruise planner also shows the drink package at $41 per person per day...but the banner only says it's 20% off package pricing!

They usually have them @ 20% off before the sailing. So it's not much of a discount. But it's still better.

 

A D+ should get a 30% discount onboard so it would be an even worse deal.

Yes, you pay 18% on top of the package price, so at the OP's current price of $41 per person per day, a 7 day cruise would be $41*7*1.18 or $338.36 per person.

 

25% off per package is the same as BOGO 50%, the full price in this case would be about $55 per person, so BOGO 50% would be one at $55, one at $27.50, or 2 for $82.50. Instead they just list it at $41 each.

 

At least they don't hide the fact that the promo is already included in the fine print, the fact that the listed price includes the discount is front and center, right next to the Add to Cart button.
