glituner32 Posted November 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Question, I notice today on my sailing that the deluxe drink pack now says Buy one get one 50% . The price currently at $41 does that mean the second person is $20.5 per day? I called and they said its not, they said the $41 is already 25% per person off, so two people would = 50%. Looks so misleading.
Clarea Posted November 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Typical RC math. At least they have their "story" ready.
Biker19 Posted November 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Just like the cabin prices -the "sale" and "discount" is already factored in on the price they show on the first screen. Be happy that it's that low - that's a good price already.
Husky1987 Posted November 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2017 "Price Shown Reflects Your Discount" is only misleading if you don't know what those words mean.
wolfcathorse Posted November 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2017 my cruise planner also shows the drink package at $41 per person per day...but the banner only says it's 20% off package pricing!
TNCruzer56 Posted November 30, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Don`t forget the "Service Charge":(:(:(
steveru621 Posted November 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 30, 2017 They usually have them @ 20% off before the sailing. So it's not much of a discount. But it's still better. A D+ should get a 30% discount onboard so it would be an even worse deal.
Dina7 Posted November 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Don`t forget the "Service Charge":(:(:( Do you also have to pay an 18% service charge on the cost of the drink package?
Clarea Posted November 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Do you also have to pay an 18% service charge on the cost of the drink package? Yes.
awestover89 Posted November 30, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 30, 2017 Do you also have to pay an 18% service charge on the cost of the drink package? Yes, you pay 18% on top of the package price, so at the OP's current price of $41 per person per day, a 7 day cruise would be $41*7*1.18 or $338.36 per person. 25% off per package is the same as BOGO 50%, the full price in this case would be about $55 per person, so BOGO 50% would be one at $55, one at $27.50, or 2 for $82.50. Instead they just list it at $41 each. At least they don't hide the fact that the promo is already included in the fine print, the fact that the listed price includes the discount is front and center, right next to the Add to Cart button.
