Hi to everyone- Did you see the supermoon last night (December 3)? December's supermoon was actually the first of three back-to-back supermoon full moons to come in the next two months. On Jan. 1 and Jan. 31, the full moon will also occur near the moon's arrival at perigee, according to NASA, which billed the line up as a supermoon trilogy (https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/news-articles/a-supermoon-trilogy). The Jan. 31 supermoon is also the second full moon of January, making it a Blue Moon, and also occurs during a total lunar eclipse. If you are sailing on Jan 1 or Jan 31 you will get to see part of the trilogy. We will be on the Crown Princess on Jan 31.

Here's a website with a map showing the visibility of the eclipse on Jan. 31, 2018: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/2018-january-31

We'll just get a partial eclipse on the East Coast.

One of my favorite cruise memories is staying up after midnight for a total lunar eclipse on the Island Princess in December 2010.
