Celebrity Eclipse Pool

We are looking forward to our first Celebrity Cruise. While cruising on other cruise lines, we have had to get up at the crack of dawn to get our seats by the pool due to them being very crowded. Will we find this with the Eclipse pool?

We were on the Eclipse in late November and chairs by the pool were available before 10:00 am, after that, hard to find.

Get up early on sea days.

But please don't dump your belongings on the chair and then go back to bed. Thankfully, Celebrity has a rule that you can only hold your chair for 30 minutes unoccupied. Unfortunately, they don't always enforce that rule but they often do. There are never enough chairs to go around for everyone who wants them, in the prime locations. So chair hogs are not appreciated (I'm sure it's no different on other cruise lines). Enjoy your cruise. Celebrity is a great experience!

The Eclipse has very nice shaded areas by the pool.

Excellent for my wife and others who should avoid bright sunlight.

Very enjoyable area. I like sun so it’s been easy finding 1 lounge chair for each in sun and in shade.

If you are not wanting to get in and out of the pool all the time there are nice seating areas by the lawn (and on the lawn on a towel) too! We will often find chairs away from the pool area much more relaxing.

A bit away from the pool is always less crowded...we don't like being right beside the pool because it's so packed....you practically have to climb onto your lounger from the foot of the chair, they're so close together. A deck up is much nicer!

The Solstice deck (up three decks from the pool and in the front of the ship) is never crowded and has some big padded lounge chairs. Most don't know this area exists. A bit of a walk with drinks in hand, but very peaceful, especially on port days.
