No, Yannis has not been a concierge as far as I know.

Yannis is on the Divina, as Hotel Services Director.

Here is a quote from Yannis:

"Great company and the rate that they grow is amazing!

Above all they are great people who actually DO care for their crew."

He will be on the Divina until March, then ????

 

The HSD on the Divina was different when we went in August. Yannis would have been great whatever the cruiseline!

 

I am giving MSC a second try next year on the Meragvilia and hope to see Yannis.:)

Now that The Norwegian Encore has had Her steel-cutting, I wonder who the staff will be for Her? Delivery date 31 October 2019 and to be based in Miami.

 

Ok good question but bear in mind a lot of the current opening team will not be around for the Leonardo class. I am suggesting that new faces and new opening team will start to be built. But it is only a guess. I have said many times on this forum things have changed and time and time again crew movements do not happen as expected. I think the issue will be who is available.

 

Speaking to one of the they have been opening ships for a long time and really want to break from it no matter the prestige. Why - because whilst it is a recognition of your standing it is high intensity and visibility and a poor opening can ruin years of hard work.

I am of the same opinion as dexdd about this gentleman.

 

Thanks - I asked and I got. Our experience is so different he was alongside Klaus Lugmaier and Sean in our books. It just proves how everyone here has different experiences with the same people. Mind you there are a few who never get a poor comment.

Ahhh okay, didn’t pick up on that from the video.

 

From a video I saw shot by a camera person and reporter from one of the Seattle, Washington television stations, the reporter did say that Sean was the HD. As I understand Sean's new role, he will be overseeing new builds. Also from what I am seeing on that video, there is still a lot of work to get done in a very short time frame.

Proof of my point they are building a new opening team - Sean W did well to go to corporate but will it be for him the sane as Klaus a background position.
