Got the Email - No Medallion on our Cruise

We are on the 3/18 Regal sailing. I called about an hour ago and received the goodwill OBC. My question is how long did it take to show up in your cruise personalizer? It is not showing yet.

 

My prior experience with Princess is that if I don’t have proof of OBC when I board the ship, I’m not getting it.

I just went to my Cruise Personalizer and I saw that my husband and I have $100 OBC for each of us. We booked this cruise back in July, and I truly don't remember if I had OBC on this cruise or not. Would the OBC credit be listed in the original email they send with the Booking Confirmation PDF form? Thanks!

We got the goodwill OBC for our 4/1 sailing and it does not appear in our personalizer. Called Princess and the rep verified it was on our booking and emailed a copy showing our total OBC and it was in there. Our TA assured us we had it and emailed us the copy of the OBC Princess sent her listing all the OBC's individually.....it was there!

Are only comping those who booked before 12/04. Was told this was "clearly" posted on website & agencies made aware so "people were well informed". I could not find any info to that effect on their website. My booking is still marked as Medallion Preview cruise in Cruise Personalizer. There are no qualifiers or cut off dates mentioned. It does not even say only a few people will get Medallions. No points in arguing over a few bucks buts sounds like they are making it up as they go along. Not handled well from a PR standpoint. I can see this generating a lot of ill will.

I booked our cruise at the end of December, not before December 4. The rep I spoke with offered us $50 per person due to having booked after the cruise was changed from an "Ocean Medallion Voyage" to a "Ocean Medallion Preview" cruise.

Just a follow up. I called Princess this week and the man I spoke with was very accommodating. He reassured that he could see the extra OBC, but could also tell it was not visible to me. So he spoke with customer relations and they did something so that it was visible to me in my cruise personalizer for about 10 minutes. I was able to take a acreen shot and print a copy showing the OBC. I feel better. (y)

That $50p/p OBC is probably for the Reduced Operational Speed that is affecting port times well into next year , that Princess is giving all Caribbean Princess guests.

We're booked on the Caribbean Princess in July and there's no goodwill credit showing in my booking. This was booked under a Casino Come Back & Play offer.

 

 

Have they published something about this that I could refer to if I need to call them?

Not published anywhere I know .

I got a email from Princess automatically

Apologizing for the shortened port stays

due to the current operational problem.

Booked the Anniversary Sale rate .

It could be the Casino rate that you are booked

at perhaps not included ?

Interesting. We are booked on what was to be the first Caribbean Princess Medallion cruise. They simply removed the notation for the listing. No longer a "medallion" cruise. No email, no OBC, nothing but an ordinary next cruise.

 

Which is fine with us....we always do a winter Caribbean cruise and we do like the Caribbean Princess.

Check your travel summary. You may find an OBC due to technical issues. We are traveling in Dec 2018 and Feb 2019 and the OBC is noted on our record.
