Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #128 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts We both went to the gym in the morning. When I left the gym I went outside on the jogging track to see the weather and there was a pretty rainbow that I took a picture of. I walked around the track as a cool down and took a few pictures as I went The Rock Wall with Gigi the Giraffe The Rock Wall Gigi the Giraffe IFly - the Flowriders are in front of the IFly I stopped at the Patisserie on the way back to the cabin

Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #130 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued We filled up a whole taxi to Carambola for $4 per person. The driver will come back for us at 2:30 On the drive there, the driver stopped for us to see a lookout. Brenda made reservations for all of us in advance. The cost is $10 a chair and $10 for an umbrella. We reserved 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. Because we had advance reservations our chairs and umbrellas were already lined up along the first row, closest to the water. They have new chairs since the last time I was here. They used to be older heavy wood slab chairs that they put a cushion on. These new ones are lighter fabric ones and much more comfortable. They had jet skis to rent if you were interested A yacht was parked/anchored not too far away We saw Brian and Vic at Carambola. They came with their group and really liked it and were glad I gave them a good recommendation.
Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #131 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued We swam and played in the water. We also snorkeled. I had my full face snorkel with me and some of the ladies in the group gave it a try. I had strangers coming up to me asking about it too. It’s not a super fancy one. I ordered it on Amazon and I really like it. It’s a little odd looking; it kind of reminds me of a Hannibal Lechter (sp?) mask. But it’s easy to use. Scott stuck with his traditional snorkel and took the water camera to take some pictures of fish as he snorkeled. Most of the pictures in the review are from my IPhone. The underwater pictures and the pictures of me in my snorkel mask on this post were taken with our underwater camera. I took a picture of the picture (using my phone) so I could include in the review.
Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #132 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued We really like Carambola. In addition to nice chairs/umbrellas, they have clean bathrooms, changing rooms, and an outdoor shower. They also have a full restaurant and bar. Many of the people in the group had lunch in the restaurant and said it was good but service was on the slower side. Our taxi came back to get us at 2:30. We shopped at the pier a bit. We bought T shirts for Scott, a post card, and an ornament. When we got back on the ship we had another fruit plate in our cabin. It’s a nice touch. We showered and changed and watched sailaway at 6pm
Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #133 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued We went to Coastal Kitchen for dinner I finally remembered to take a picture of the dips along with the bread
Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #134 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued For appetizer I tried the seafood veloute, but didn’t like it. I didn’t think I would since I’m not a soup fan but Scott and Rajiv both were telling me to try it so I did. I like how they serve the seafood veloute and I took pictures of the process. First the bowl appears with just this piece of bread and some seafood on it Then Rajiv pours the liquid into the bowl And you have your soup (or seafood voulete) I ended up ordering a crab cake instead. Scott had the French Onion Soup
Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #135 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts -Continued For my entree I had the Barramundi Scott had the Lamb Loin The dessert menu came out For dessert I had the Vacherin but it wasn’t as good as last time. Scott didn’t want any dessert I’m surprised we’re repeating the dinner menus.
Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #136 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued I wanted to walk through the Windjammer after dinner since I read about theme nights and wanted to see what it was. They had a cupcake theme tonight. This was when you first walk in. I liked the ship made out of cake too, but this is for display only since it’s behind glass We brought a few cupcakes back to the cabin for later (red velvet, dulce Le Leche, and lemon meringue). It was funny when we got in the elevator there was a guy with a plate of bananas. He looked very healthy compared to our plates of cupcakes. Noreen411 Posted March 9, 2018 Author #137 Share Posted March 9, 2018 (edited) Monday 2/5/18 - St Kitts - Continued We went to the casino for a little bit. At 8:30 we went to the theater to see ReVoiced. It was standing room only. We stayed for a while. I had Scott pose in front of this metal statue that we still don’t know what it is There was a picture station set up where they were posing you behind a ship steering wheel (that’s what it looked like to me). We took some pictures and had a lot of fun and laughed as the photographer kept trying to pose us. I guess we weren’t doing it right. I told him he should just move us how he wants us. He would just motion what he wanted us to do - like move our shoulder back or where to put our hands. Some of these pictures came out really cute. This one is a picture of the picture once it was already home and in a frame. At 9:30 we went to 270 to watch/listen to Music with Joyce and friends (the We Will Rock You Performers). We walked around the deck outside for a while. It’s really nice out. We went back to the cabin around 11:30 and watched a movie and ate a cupcake Edited March 9, 2018 by Noreen411
joand452 Posted March 10, 2018 #138 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Following along! We did the 12-day in 2016, but went to Martinique instead of St. Lucia. We’re going back in April 2019 for a Bermuda-Boston cruise. Am I the only one who looks at the menu to decide what to eat? We won’t even have access to CK! njaloha Posted March 10, 2018 #140 Share Posted March 10, 2018 I've read the whole review but I forget, did you have a bvg plan?. I'm used to Celebrity suite life with bvg plan included so we never had to pay for anything onboard. Curious how much it cost if you did and if you didn't, how much did you spend on drinks if you don't mind me asking. You have really pretty blue eyes! :) Thank you very much Hard to tell in the picture but Scott has blue eyes and I have green eyes. My mother used to tell me when I was little my eyes changed color sometimes based on what I wore. She never knew if they were blue or green. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Hi We had the refreshment package which we bought on sale for $18 per day per person. Normally $26. This includes bottled water, fresh squeezed oj, soda, specialty coffee and tea, and non alcoholic drinks. But we had other reasons we didn’t pay for drinks: We are casino vip so get free drinks (alcoholic or not) in the casino We are in a suite so free drinks in the concierge lounge. We are diamond Plus so can have free drinks in concierge lounge, diamond lounge, or any bar 3 drinks during cocktail hour. Other than tips for our free (or included in refreshment package) beverages we didn’t pay extra for drinks. That’s what gave me the idea to include them. That and it’s easier to remember what the dish was. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Noreen411 Posted March 10, 2018 Author #149 Share Posted March 10, 2018 (edited) Tuesday 2/6/18 - At Sea We went to the gym a little later than usual today - probably around 7:15am. It wasn’t very crowded. I’ve noticed this on several cruises, the first day or so, the gym is packed in the morning. As the trip goes on, there will be some regulars that are there daily, but the crowds die down. I stopped at the Patisserie on my way back to the cabin to get my iced white chocolate mocha and bottles of water. I also stopped at Promenade Cafe and picked up a container of sliced melon to bring back to the cabin. We showered and changed but skipped breakfast since we’re going to try an early lunch today instead. I ate some of my melon from the Promenade Cafe and Scott ate some of the fruit from the fruit platter. We sent out some more laundry and also a few of Scott’s shirts to be dry cleaned and pressed. Scott realized he couldn’t find his bank card. He had it with him last night but can’t find it this morning. I’m not sure why he’s been carrying it around the ship with him to begin with but he had it with his set sail pass and ID. He stopped at guest services and they had it. We stopped and took a picture in the empty Music Hall I also took a picture near one of the Casino entrances. We went up to the suite sun deck and there were plenty of lounge chairs available. It’s nice that you don’t see the chair hogging/saving chairs with towels. People may step away for a bit to go in the pool, to the bathroom, get a drink, etc, but most people take their stuff when they are done and don’t just save the chairs all day. The regular sundeck was jam packed. Edited March 10, 2018 by Noreen411
Noreen411 Posted March 10, 2018 Author #150 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Tuesday 2/6/18 - At Sea - Continued At 12 noon we went to Coastal Kitchen for lunch. We shared both appetizers that we ordered Grilled Prawns - we both enjoyed these Bianca flatbread - we each tried a piece but neither of us liked it For my entree I had the branzino but asked for it with the risotto instead of farro. The fish was good. The risotto was tasty but a bit too heavy for lunch Scott had the scallops which comes with risotto. He enjoyed this but had the same thoughts on the risotto that is was too heavy for lunch. We’re not complaining about the risotto, we chose to order it was very good. Just much more than we’re used to eating for lunch
