Alex_77 Posted February 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2018 just booked a BX cabin on Jade for May this year and there is a cabin number allocated online which has the symbol for "privasea" on the plan. Is this another way of saying obstructed view?! It is one of the last 4 side aft cabins on deck 9 before the real aftwArd facing ones. Given the price saving compared to selecting a cabin can't complain - but need to manage expectations!:)
Oakman58 Posted February 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Here's a link to a recent discussion about those balconies and it includes pictures. Read the entire thread. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2597013 I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
dexddd Posted February 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Yeah, marketing mumbo jumbo derived the name. That being said, we've had the hull balcony on NCL and it is nice unless you really want full on sun.
Rare EllieinNJ Posted February 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2018 I just rebooked my inside to a sailaway balcony for my upcoming Epic cruise. I was so hoping not to get a priva sea balcony but got assigned a BC balcony on deck 8 which is completely open to sun and cabins above with the lifeboats just below. Now I'm wondering which is worse.
getoutandlive Posted February 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2018 I'm booked in a PrivaSea balcony on my Alaska trip, looking forward to the protection against rain and wind and a little added... well.. privacy :-)
