Rare BirdTravels Posted March 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2018 Escape has the better view and balcony There is no balcony on the Escape Because the Escape is a bigger ship, there are more loungers. And the spa wraps all the way around the bow with great views. The Escape moved the saunas to the outside wall so that they could put in a small window to look out at the sea. The lack of windows was a flaw in the design of the spa on the Breakaway and Getaway. The Escape has a snow room which is more of a gimmick than a useful facility. MizDemeanor Posted March 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2018 I havent looked at the deck plans/counts of spa cabins, but with the expanded size of the area on Escape have they also added more spa cabins? On BA and GA with the spa at the size it is and with the number of spa cabins on board, the spa was always filled to a large capacity IMO. Does it feel less crowded with the increase in size or more evenly spread out now on Escape in your opinion?
Rare Lupush Posted March 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2018 Escape is better. Biggest difference for me is that the Getaway does not have the snow room. If you've never experienced it before it's a must!

dacsmom Posted April 29, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 29, 2018 I loved it on the Escape. The snow room is wonderful after just coming out of the sauna. And the Thermal Spa was large enough so it never felt crowded.
barb65 Posted April 29, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 29, 2018 The Escape thermal spa is wonderful! Never cruised the Getaway, so I can't offer a comparison. YouTube has a good video of the Escape thermal spa that may help you decide.
