How is the weather in the Baltic region in late April/early May? I realize I may not be preparing for chilly/rainy weather. Any one who can talk about the weather? Anyone with ideas or suggestions for weather and appropriate clothing? Thanks much!

The key off the ship is to layer.

Weather even in that area has changed quite a bit and can be unpredictable.

We use the following web site to look up historical weather for each area we visit but we also look at not only the average but how the weather can vary.

In all likelihood you may still have some chilly and rainy weather so again the layering of clothing will be of benefit to you. Bring a waterproof jacket with hood.

Be prepared to anything, even the best! Two years ago, we made a Baltic cruise at the very beginning of may (departure may 2), we took a lot of warm clothes and.....we had 12 days of bright, warm weather : 20-25°C (68-77F). Two years before, same period, we had to buy a fleece in......Naples! So the best advice is Micah's Grandad : "layering is your friend".
