We've been on Dawn once Star twice with our kids. They will have the kids clubs but not much else. One main pool and an aft kids pool but too small kid like for a 13 yo.

Hopefully you have some interesting ports to go to.

At least you should be able to spend quite a bit of time together.

Our last cruise was on the Gem, sister ship, kids were 14, 14, 16, 19 and 20. All five made friends in the teen club, we saw them at breakfast, dinner, evening show, and in ports. The teen club hosts events, plus it’s a place to meet, or just meet up. Make sure she goes to the teen club the first night. This was our fourth NCL cruise with them, the first one was on the Jewel when our oldest was 14, and she loved the teen club.

Do they have activities onboard for 13 yr olds? Anything like ping pong games, family feud game, kids bingo?

Yes, but they do need to go to the teen club on the first day/night. You will then get the schedule for the week, as well as starting to make friends.
