If you could give one piece of advice for Majesty of the Seas.....

We leave next Monday!! For those that have sailed on Majesty before - what is the one must-do? Best tip you ever received?

I'll go along with Bob's Compass Deli recommendation. I am always a get on board as soon as possible person, on a 4 day cruise I definitely want to maximize my time on board. I get to the port just before 11am.

As others have said, Compass Deli and Sorrentos pizza in the same area, if you go to the windjammer there is another serving section all the way forward which has the same selections but there are usually seats there.

The Viking crown is nice too as it still has full 360 degree views.

Is there an additional fee for the Viking Crown?

Use the $5 free play in the casino.

That's long gone.

Does anyone know if they have the freestyle coke machines on Majesty?

They were the first (or maybe the second, but I think "the first") to have them!

Does the Majesty have a fridge in each cabin?

Are there production and/or other types of shows in the theater?

We are in a junior suite 1560--good location? Bad location?

Thanks.

Yes, there are a couple of production shows. I believe the fridges are in staterooms on deck 8 and higher.

Love the Majesty, smaller older ship but has a great crew and following. The ship is small enough I think you will probably see everything but I thing the Viking Crown lounge is a great spot on the ship. Enjoy your cruise.

We did not have a refrigerator in our inside cabin, deck 3.

All of the shows were excellent!!!

The first time we were on Majesty we had a junior suite. It was the smallest JS we have had. It was more like a large balcony cabin in size, but did have a bath tub and walk in closet which was nice.

Love this post...we sail in June. Originally we were sailing on Empress, but our cruise got changed to Majesty...excited to try a ship we haven't been on before.

We were also switched from Empress to Majesty for a 5-nighter this October and am happy about it!:D If you want to talk to your fellow cruisers for your week, click on the site below and find your week! Cheers!

If you like Johnny Rockets milkshakes, you can get it togo without having to pay a cover charge. You do still have to pay for the shakes. And if you like peanut butter, ask for that shake. It's DELICIOUS.

Here's another vote for the Compass Deli. I had heard a lot about it prior to our cruise a few years back. DW and I went there for lunch (I think on day 1) and found the Captain and the Cruise Director in there having lunch. That convinced me we were in the right place. We ate there several times during our cruise.

Two freestyle machines but found them empty of ice multiple times.

Deli and Pizza are great for those in-between times when the buffet is closed or late night.

On my 4 day, two production shows were good, third was contracted talent a comedian, did two family-friendly shows and one adult show in the Chorus Line Theater. The fourth was the farewell show which had the singers and dancers do a number as well.

Musicians were very good, they even did Karaoke with the band (not what the called it).

Food service was excellent.

Fast and efficient embarkation and debarkation, one of the shortest muster drills I've ever experienced.

  • 1 month later...

Does Cafe Lattitudes take Starbucks gift cards for Starbucks coffee drinks or is the coffee drink package my best option? On the Oasis I used a gift card so I wouldn't be tied to a package, but I didn't know if I could do that on the Majesty or not.
