Itinerary Change - Sun - June cruise

Hi - I just received an email that the Sun is now going to Nassau instead of Grand Bahama Island in June. Of course, it doesn't say why. Any ideas? Not that I mind the change...

Thank you in advance!:)

Could be any number of reasons. One aspect of all this is that many of the Caribbean islands that were damaged by the hurricane can still not handle the kind of capacity for passengers that they used to. So this results in the cruise lines shuffling around their ports of call.

Just got the same email. We're pretty disappointed, as we specifically picked this weekend over the next weekend as we had never been to Grand Bahama Island, and went to Nassau on our last cruise.

Even more odd that they just added a new excursion to Grand Bahama Island into our vacation planner just this past weekend....

As much as people complain about Nassau, it is head and shoulder above Freeport (Grand Bahama) as a stop. The best thing to do at Grand Bahama is to stay on the ship.
