MCruiser30 Posted April 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2018 We are taking the Island Princess in a couple weeks. Others ships have something like Skywalkers Nightclub. Are there any party / nightclub venues on the Island Princess? Looking for something for a younger crowd that isn't simply a piano bar type environment. https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=3153 Thanks! Nope, no nightclub, or nightclub type venue on Island. Used to be in Universe Lounge, but that was removed for more cabins a couple years back... Party band plays in Explorer's till 11:30/12 some nights, usually followed by a DJ, although our experience was that the DJ quit at 12;30, no matter how many of us were there (usually more than 25-30) and no matter how much we pleaded with the cruise staff. Bar shut down too, but the casino bar next door stayed open later, if there were people in casino... The Wheelhouse has live music usually till around 11:30/12, but it's not a nightclub venue by any means, more laid back lounge. Good luck.. cruzsnooze Posted April 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Princess is not known for their nightlife or night club vibe. The demographic is more subdued and older although not old like Holland.
RMMariner Posted April 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Been on quite a few Princess cruises. Never seen anything close to what I would call a party/nightclub atmosphere. Admittedly, none of our cruises were on the shorter cruises, nor on the Island Princess. Being in our 40s, we felt like we were definitely on the younger side of the demographic for the Princess cruises we were on. We were actually a little disappointed with the options at night. Maybe we just have been on quiet ships.
