Rare vacationlover_mn Posted April 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2018 St Kitts: Reggae Bar area of Cockleshell Beach. Can we do this on our own? Could we grab transportation outside the shop to get there? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Clarea Posted April 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Can we do this on our own? Could we grab transportation outside the shop to get there? Yes, we do it on our own all the time. Taxis waiting outside of the secured area.
jimvern1966 Posted April 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2018 The one and only time we sailed to St Thomas, we went to Trunks Bay in St John's on a tour thru the ship. It was absolutely beautiful. This was on our honeymoon, 20 years ago!

This was on our honeymoon, 20 years ago! I second this- providing trunk bay wasn’t destroyed in the hurricanes. It is stunning. You can go through a ship excursion or it’s also easy on your own. Lazirus65 Posted April 19, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 19, 2018 When in St Thomas I always go over to St John, prefer Hawksnest Bay less crowded than Trunk Bay pictures from Dec 2015 Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Aquahound Posted April 19, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Can we do this on our own? Could we grab transportation outside the shop to get there? When I was on St Kitts in November, I rented a car and went there on my own. There's a Avis right outside the port. The drive out there is beautiful. Lazirus65 Posted April 19, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Avis is a good choice if your a Cruise passenger easy to find and return. You can drive the whole island and still have time for one of the beaches Sent from my iPhone using Forums

The Fun Researcher Posted April 19, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 19, 2018 St. Thomas has two amazing beaches to choose from 1) Take ferry over to St. Johns and go to Trunk Bay. This is the best beach we've ever been to at any of our ports. (13) 2) Take a taxi on St. Thomas and go to Magens bay (our second fav) Dan
