MBP1 Posted April 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2018 We booked our cruise through Costco a few weeks back for July on the Vista. We selected our cabin, but I just noticed a cabin in the same class with a slightly better location opened up. Is it possible to move to the new cabin? Would we need to contact Carnival or Costco? azjim66 Posted April 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2018 All you need to do is contact Carnival and they should be able to switch you. The only hitch is that the fare could have changed since you booked so you may be responsible for difference if the fare has gone up. I don't think it matters if you booked through Costco or not. Just give them a call and you will find out for sure! Good luck!
nwcruiselover Posted April 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2018 As long as the cabin you want is in the exact same cabin category, you should be able to move. Call your travel agent (Costco) and see what they can do for you. Good luck!
riffatsea Posted April 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2018 Yes, easy to switch cabins in the same booking class. Since you booked through Costco you have to talk to them about it.
bury me at sea Posted April 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2018 If Costco acted as your Travel Agent, they own your booking. You would have to contact them to make any changes to your booking.
mdsgu Posted April 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 23, 2018 Recently did this on a RC booking through my travel agent. Moved up an entire deck, but the room category was the same.

Since you booked with Costco, you will have to make the change with Costco. Carnival will not interfere with the booking made by a travel agency. Hence, we only book with our Carnival PVP. There are no incentives good enough for us to give up control over our bookings.
