Rare 1025cruise Posted April 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Just note that the Maitre'D's are not expected or required to respond to guest emails. If you have a specific dining request, it is requested that you post to John Heald's Facebook page 4 days prior to your cruise.

Je Souhaite Posted April 25, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Just note that the Maitre'D's are not expected or required to respond to guest emails. If you have a specific dining request, it is requested that you post to John Heald's Facebook page 4 days prior to your cruise. Although you are responding to a question not asked, it's true, you may not get a response, but I have NEVER not gotten a request unsatisfied. And friends sailing with us went though the JHeald channel, and that request went unattended.
jordanaire Posted April 25, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 25, 2018 I sent an email to the Maitre'D on the Sunshine two weeks prior to our April 6th sailing to request a table for 2, upper dining room level, near the rear windows of the ship. Although I never got a response, we did get exactly what I requested. Beautiful sunsets every evening!
ricew001 Posted April 25, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2018 John Heald specifically came on his page on Sunday (today is Wednesday) and said "instructions have been given to these very hard-working ladies and gentleman not to respond to emails." So I was wondering why do you all keep doing this? Did you all just miss the announcement? I've seen it over and over.
RenoNanaOz Posted April 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 25, 2018 John Heald specifically came on his page on Sunday (today is Wednesday) and said "instructions have been given to these very hard-working ladies and gentleman not to respond to emails." So I was wondering why do you all keep doing this? Did you all just miss the announcement? I've seen it over and over. I don't read his page so I wouldn't have seen it. I will continue as it works for me every time, they don't need to respond they just accommodate the request if possible. I don't see what the big deal is with this every time it comes up. Would they prefer a line out the door on Embarkation Day with everyone trying to get their seating arrangements changed? I think not.

Cruiser-66 Posted April 29, 2018 #15 Share Posted April 29, 2018 We are sailing on the Breeze in November and have a dinning request. When would be the best time to send a request?
bury me at sea Posted April 29, 2018 #16 Share Posted April 29, 2018 We are sailing on the Breeze in November and have a dinning request. When would be the best time to send a request? In my experience, Tuesday or Wednesday prior to a Sunday departure. They are working hard on the cruise prior to yours through Monday at the least. Happy sailing.
