Chilkoot Charters. When to book?

There are about 10 in our group who would like to go on the Chilkoot Charters Yukon Rail & Bus Excursion. How far in advance should we make reservations? Do tours fill up quickly? I realize I am early in asking this, and we don't leave until June, 2019, but I do not want to miss out!

As soon as the 2019 schedule is out. Your will probably require a special bus. This would depend on the size of bus they use.

For an August 2012 cruise with 6 people I reserved in November or December 2011. For our early July cruise this year with 4 people I reserved in January 2018. I agree with Kamloops50 that with that large a group you need to reserve earlier rather than later. You could always call/email them now and ask them.

There are 6 of us going, and we just booked last week, for our June 1, 2018 cruise.

 

The woman who I spoke with at Chilkoot said there were still 30 seats available.

Agree....The bus we were on with Chilkkoot held about 20 passengers...the great thing with the smaller bus's are they can easily make scenic stops along the way...the larger ones can't...a real plus booking with Chilkoot.

I booked last night for a party of 3 for our July 2018 cruise and there was very little left to choose from! Book early!

I seem to recall that Chilkoot usually puts their next year’s schedule out about October or so of the previous year.
