Specialty Dining Perks?

We went to PG on the first night of our Nieuw Amsterdam (sister to Eurodam) cruise and we did not receive any perks. We pre-booked, so maybe that is why. We had a family reunion cruise on Eurodam a couple of years ago and we dined in PG the first night and the last and no perks for us.

On Nieuw Amsterdam last week, there were cards on the tables in the buffet advertising discounts (I think it was 25%) in Tamarind on the first night. I wouldn't swear to it, but I think it may have been for Tamarind or Pinnacle, but was definitely only good for that first night. We were pre-booked for that night in Tamarind as part of a package that included a discount, so I didn't pay too much attention to the details. I'm sure it depends on how full the restaurants already are. Tamarind was still pretty empty at 7pm.

Thanks for the response. We usually to the steakhouse on embarkation day when we're on CCL and it's a nice gesture that they offer a free bottle of their house wine or 25% off any other bottle. Just was wondering if HAL did the same.
