twodjs Posted June 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I must give praise to Captain Mark Rowden and his staff for a fabulous cruise from Seward to Vancouver on June 3 - 9. He understood that Glacier Bay is a bucket-list item for many and he and his staff did everything in their power to make it perfect! They made sure the windows were spotless, spent extra time spent up close to the glacier...even arranged for perfect weather :D A quick story to show how much he cared - The men's sauna is small - holds about 6 people - but with only two hooks to hang clothes, bags, etc. The overflow gets piled on the only seat in the changing area. Captain Mark saw the problem, went to Home Depot on his own time in Alaska and bought 6 new hooks. They were all installed the next day. I was completely blown away! There was extra positive energy on this ship, and I give credit to Captain Mark, our Cruise Director, Keri (you can hear her smile when she speaks!) and everyone involved. Great cruise! SilvertoGold Posted July 7, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 7, 2018 Hotel Manager Colin Jacob deserves a lot of praise for the happy, diligent, accommodating and professional crew he oversees! We've sailed HAL for many years, with many days onboard and he is the best we've come across.
