Bought mine quite a few years ago and quite happy since purchase they are up about 18%. Not sure the perk is worth it but I like the stock.

We have sailed with Celebrity, HAL and Azamara, all in the Med. In recent years, I've noticed that Az is very competitive with X, with very little difference.

This year the X pricing was above Az, but we have ended up paying a bit more with Oceania, circa £200pp, but with some nice perks.

Because of this thread,I have just compared O Riviera with an Edge cruise, Med, 7 nights in June 2019. Concierge class in both, X is dearer by circa £250pp. Remember when you look at O pricing, it includes Air, plus all the Specialty restaurants are included.

So I don't know what's going on, but if you do a few quick comparisons, you can soon find out where the better deals are.

I booked my first Celebrity cruise a month ago direct with Celebrity. The cost was $5900 with two promotions. Today, I moved my cruise over to a TA I am paying 4600 with no promotions or 5300 with the same 2 promotion at celebrity. They picked up my same cabins(we had 4) and my reservations numbers and everything stayed the same. Told me if prices goes lower they will just honor new price. Still can cancel and get my refundable deposit back until Feb. Can't get any more simple.

Any hints where to look for this wonderful TA, Thanks so much.:):D

Most of the larger cruise specialist agencies or the higher end luxury consortiums will have group block pricing for their member agencies on several voyages throughout the season.

On Edge in Med 2019, the group rates can be $4k per stateroom lower than prevailing rates, and TA group rates still combine with perk offer.

If you have the time, check with a good cruise specialist agency that is aligned with one of the larger networks on any dates they may have group block pricing set up.

An insurance company that you have to be a member of to get their insurance but can join even if not a member for their travel services. My Cruise was for May 26th next year.

Come on Celebrity..........looking at a sv cabin 12 night med cruise in Sept 2019. $6640 OR £5000.

This is for the same old same old med cruise to the usual ports, nothing out the ordinary.

I mean really...........

Most of the prices are quite crazy right now and I cannot get over it. We had originally booked our Med cruise on Reflection for this year and ended up changing to RCI as the price was a little more than 1/2 the cost of the exact same cruise on celebrity. We booked a 9 day southern on Silhouette for February 2019 very early and I'm glad we did, it's over double what we paid now. $8000 for a 9 day southern sounds a little crazy to me.

I don't mind paying a premium for something I really like, $60,000 for a new car, not a problem. $4,500 for a 4k tv no problem. The current pricing for cruising, when pigs fly! Winning the lottery wouldn't make any difference. We have a cruise booked in a MSC Yacht Club deluxe suite in September and a RCL Allure Grand suite in October. That will determine our future vacations. These are our first cruises in suites, in the past balconys were just fine. The average service, and food served in the buffet and MDR , and entertainment, especially on Celebrity Silhouette doesn't justify the current pricing. Things have changed over the last five years or so and in our estimation, not for the better. We can either accept it or move on and we are probably choosing the later.
