suekel Posted June 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2018 What is the difference between the Oasis and the Sanctuary? Which dining room is used for Club class dining? Are the Dolphin Vista suites balconies open like they are for the mini's? Thanks
Kamloops50 Posted June 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Clarify please. Your questions actually cover Princess and Holland America.Princess doesn't have Vista Suites. They have mini suites, club mini suites and suites.
suekel Posted June 29, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Actually they do Stateroom Number: D737 Type: Vista Suite Category: S6 Location: Aft Deck: 9 (Dolphin) Bath Type: Shower/tub Connecting Room: N/A Total Size: 495 sq. ft. Special Notes: BALC PARTLY OBSTRUCT DUE TO SUPPORT BEAM View Stateroom Amenities and if you look at the deck plans for the Grand, they show Oasis and Sanctuary. I'd like to know the difference. moki'smommy Posted June 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Princess definitely has Vista Suites. They show up as one of the types of suites when you click on the "suites" category during a booking. The Sanctuary is the paid area with loungers. I believe that the oasis just refers to the area of the ship with the two hot tubs and the oasis bar. There is no charge for the hot tubs. It gets confusing because in the description, the Sanctuary is referred to as "an adult oasis......."
fishywood Posted June 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2018 The online deck plans have the label The Oasis over the area of Deck 16 Aft where the Oasis Bar and hot tubs are. It doesn't really mean anything, other than back when Grand was launched in 1998 the trend was to give arbitrary names to various areas of the ship even if there is no distinct purpose to that area. JC in CA Posted June 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2018 What is the difference between the Oasis and the Sanctuary? Which dining room is used for Club class dining? Are the Dolphin Vista suites balconies open like they are for the mini's? Thanks Club Class dining is in the da Vinci dining room. Left side when approaching, however it is on the Starboard side of the boat.

Milldonkey Posted June 29, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 29, 2018 The balcony is covered, very large and awesome. The support beam in no way impacts the view or use of the space.

skynight Posted June 29, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 29, 2018 The Oasis area on deck 16 aft has a couple of hot tubs and lots of standard lounge chairs. The area is lightly used and quiet. I have never seen the Oasis Bar open on any Grand Class ship, but there probably will be some bar waiters walking through.
Roatanfans Posted June 29, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 29, 2018 If you book a suite on the Grand enjoy the breakfasts in Sabatinis- hopefully Franco will be on the ship and he is an amazing host!

Have they changed the location? It was served in the CG last year. You will notice it is very common on this board for someone to say "breakfast at Sabatini's" when referring to the Complimentary specialty dining mimosa breakfast suite perk. The real name is unwieldy but accurate in that it is not venue driven. Grand was actually one of the first ships to locate it in Crown Grill rather than Sabatini's following Sabatini's remodel during its last drydock.
